Coach Darren Laver

Coach Darren Laver brings more than 25 years of international coaching and playing experience to the field. A former professional player and one of only 24 athletes worldwide featured in EA Sports FIFA Street computer game, Darren is widely recognized for his creativity, technical expertise, and deep roots in street soccer.

Throughout his career, he has worked across youth, academy, and professional environments, including roles with Leeds United, Bradford City, the Tennessee State Soccer Association, and Nashville SC Youth Programs. His experience spans grassroots to elite development, consistently focusing on building confident, skillful, and intelligent players.

He is also an author, educator, and PhD candidate specializing in skill acquisition and transfer in youth soccer.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes creativity, decision-making, and player ownership — creating engaging learning environments where players develop technical excellence, game awareness, and a genuine love for the sport.
